FACES SF in San Francisco, CA seeks a Part-time Basecamp Group Leader to provide educational, enrichment, and social-emotional support for 90 school-age children during the school year, with full-time hours in summer. This role reports to the BASECAMP Program Manager and emphasizes collaboration with peers and partners.

The position requires 2+ years with school-age children, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Salary ranges from $27.00 to $34.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• The candidate has 2+ years of experience with school-age children in out-of-school settings.
• Ability to supervise field trips and use public transportation when needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration with peers, families, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, learner-centered environment.
• Complete weekly developmental observations using DRDP criteria.
• Co-facilitate lesson plans and materials with other group leaders.
• Contribute to school-based learning and help address achievement gaps.
• Participate in off-site field trips to broaden participant experiences.
• Support lessons with outside specialists and program partners.
• Foster social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
• Model age-appropriate behavior and follow program policies.
• Promote health through exercise and physical activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with children.
