Job summary

Fall Group Leader (Elementary School, Brooklyn) is an after-school role reporting to the Program Director. You will supervise an assigned group of participants, manage arrival, snack, transitions, activities, and dismissal, and ensure safety and compliance with licensor regulations.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities, supporting participants with learning and behavioral needs, maintaining a clean space, and using approved lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older, with at least 2 years of direct experience working with children.
• Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision to assigned group of students.
• Lead assigned group through daily procedures, including supervision during arrival, snack, transitions, activities, and dismissal.
• Develop an understanding of COMPASS models, goals, and approaches to positive youth development.
• Ensure participants are properly supervised according to licensor regulations at all times.
• Take student attendance and account for all students throughout program time.
• Support participants with individual learning and behavioral needs during activity periods.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers in the classroom, including Activity Specialists and Teachers.
• Maintain a clean classroom/space and leave it in original condition after activities.
