Widmyer Elementary School in Berkeley Springs, WV is hiring for an MC After 3 School Teacher under the 21st Century Grant. The role is 2.5 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, for 25 weeks on an as-needed basis.

The teacher will deliver curricula, manage instruction, and monitor student progress in collaboration with the Site Coordinator. Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s in a student-related field and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in a student-related field (Elementary/Secondary Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Child/Youth Development, etc.).
Demonstrates ability to plan lessons and implement state curricula.
Uses formative assessment and data reviews to measure progress.
Proficient in standard English communication and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

Provides curricula required by the state and county board.
Bases instruction on adopted curricula and current knowledge.
Develops lessons and uses varied instructional strategies to meet objectives.
Prepares and implements lesson plans with ready materials at start of activities.
Monitors student progress and maintains accurate records.
Communicates with students, parents, and staff following established procedures.
Attends monthly staff meetings and demonstrates professional responsibilities.
