Salary Range:$30 - $35. Placement in the range is commensurate with experience.

We are seeking assistants and floaters for Dalton's Afterschool Program. This position works closely with the Director and Associate Director of Afterschool Program and reports to the Director of Afterschool Program. This is a part-time, hourly position working weekdays. Depending on assigned location, start times will vary between 2:45-3:00 PM and go until about 5:00 PM-5:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate classroom activities for general childcare spaces for K-3 or 4th-5th grades.
• Support lead instructors in classes.
• Negotiate any unplanned classroom disruptions.
• Maintain up to date attendance/dismissal records.
• Dismissal duties.
• Communicate with families during after school hours.
• Document and communicate student/instructor concerns with the After School Program Director/Associate Director.
• Assist in specialty classes as needed.
• Background in theater, dance, music, art, STEAM or music a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education preferred or equivalent experience in schools/childcare settings.
