Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide quality child care in our early childhood and school-age programs. You will be a positive role model, stimulate creative thinking, and support emotional development while filling in for regular staff as needed. The position is part-time (12-20 hours weekly) with a school-year schedule.

Candidates should have experience with children, a high school diploma, and flexibility to work afternoons. CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or camp settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
• Ability to work 3 afternoons per week and for the entire school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with established learning activities across multiple areas.
• Follow policies, procedures, and practices in an organized manner.
• Assist with age-appropriate, process-oriented activities encouraging creativity.
• Maintain open communication with the Program Director regarding children and families.
• Ensure spaces are physically and emotionally safe, interesting, clean, and engaging for children.
• Other duties as assigned.
