Job summary

Pocahontas County Schools is seeking a Teacher for the Learning Beyond the Bell / 21st CCLC Summer Program at Marlinton Middle School. The role provides academic support, enrichment opportunities, and instruction to participating students after school and during the summer component of the grant.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field and a valid WV Teaching Certificate, with experience with middle/secondary students preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Education or a related field.
• Valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate.
• Meet minimum standards for certification per WV Policy 5202 and WV Code §18A-4-7a.
• Criminal background check per WV requirements.
• Experience working with middle or secondary students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and enrichment opportunities aligned with program objectives.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and learning experiences.
• Create a safe, supportive learning environment and monitor student progress.
