Job summary

DREAM is seeking K-8 After School Enrichment Specialists to create diverse learning experiences for Pre-K to 8 in REAL Kids and DreamBuilders, delivering 45-minute sessions to teams of 18-20 students with Youth Worker support.

Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, you will design lesson plans, embed literacy, collaborate with Youth Workers, and ensure a fun, safe, project-oriented experience aligned to the DREAM model.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old by the role’s start date.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or certification preferred.
• 2+ years experience working with groups of youth or similar experience preferred.
• Ability to independently plan and implement lessons in specialty area.
• Clear passion for specialty area and understanding of youth development strategies.
• Exemplary social, organizational, and communication skills.
• Dedication to the program and ability to collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive youth experience.
• Ability to work in-person during all program hours required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans for enrichment activities aligned to the DREAM program model for Pre-K to 8.
• Deliver a culminating project or presentation for Grades 4-8.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers and program leadership for cohesive experiences.
• Embed literacy throughout instruction.
• Prepare materials before activities and ensure proper cleanup.
• Encourage youth participation and maintain professional behavior.
• Implement health and safety protocols and respond to incidents.
• Note: materials/resources budgets are provided as needed.
