Job summary

DREAM is seeking Enrichment Specialists to design and deliver lesson plans for PreK-3 and grades 4-8 as part of our extended learning program in East Harlem and the Bronx.

You'll collaborate with Youth Workers and school leadership to create engaging, literacy-rich experiences, manage materials within a budget, and model professional behavior while ensuring safety and inclusion for all students.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age by start date.
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience working with groups of youth.
• Ability to independently plan and implement lessons in specialty area.
• Dedication to DREAM's mission and positive youth outcomes.
• Ability to work in-person during all program hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans for enrichment activities aligned to the DREAM program model.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers, Dean of Student Life and Associate Director of Extended Learning and Enrichment to provide a cohesive and fun experience for youth.
• Embed literacy throughout all instruction.
• Prepare all materials before activities begin and facilitate a thorough clean up afterwards.
• Encourage youth to positively participate in activities.
• Serve as a role model while demonstrating professional behavior.
• Implement all health and safety protocols as required, including child safety and incident response.
• Note: Materials/resources will be budgeted conservatively as needed.
