Job summary

Wonderful College Prep Academy in California’s Central Valley is seeking a dedicated Expanded Learning program assistant to help plan and run after-school activities for a group of scholars. The role requires teamwork, safety oversight, and effective communication with students and families.

The position supports enrichment clubs, fitness activities, and academic help, ensuring engaging, structured sessions. A friendly, inclusive environment and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year prior experience in an expanded learning environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Reliable transportation and a valid CA driver’s license (if required).
• Ability to fluently speak Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Expanded Learning Manager, Coordinator and Site Lead in developing, organizing, and implementing activities that promote the program’s mission.
• Plan and lead focused activities to embed positive behavior.
• Plan and lead enrichment, physical education, and academics for groups of scholars.
• Record student attendance and submit daily to the Program Site Lead within the start of each session.
• Supervise and ensure the safety of scholars at all times.
• Handle daily set-up and clean-up of materials and ensure spaces are clean and orderly.
• Ensure adherence to current health and wellness protocols.
• Develop cooperative relationships with management and staff and other contacts.
