  • Lead some enrichment activities as needed and desired.
  • Create a seasonal enrichment catalog to showcase the menu of options.
  • Communicate enrichment opportunities with scholars and families with support from school leadership.
  • Develop and oversee annual and seasonal enrichment budgets with leadership support.
  • Collaborate with Athletics Coordinators to plan for use of spaces and facilities.
  • Ensure activity leaders are vetted and trained, including CORI checks and required trainings.
  • Provide supervision to programming and enrichment activity leaders.

The Christa McAuliffe Charter School is a diverse EL Education school for 350 scholars in grades 6-8. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Afterschool Enrichment Coordinator runs the school’s daily after-school programming. The goal of McAuliffe’s enrichment program is to provide our middle school scholars with a menu of safe, enriching, and fun activities for each of three seasons: fall, winter, and spring. The Coordinator is responsible for building a robust menu of enrichment options facilitated by faculty, parents/guardians, and community partners. We will encourage expansion of popular classes/clubs/activities and development of new opportunities in order to involve more scholars -- and more diverse scholars -- on an annual basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a seasonal menu of enrichment opportunities for each day of the week, including but not limited to visual arts, physical activities, academic support, music/theatre, and role-play games (e.g., Dungeons and Dragons).
- Build and maintain relationships with faculty, families, and community partners who lead enrichment activities
- Recruit faculty, parents/guardians, and community partners to lead new enrichment activities
- As needed and desired, lead some enrichment activities
- Create a seasonal enrichment catalog to showcase the menu of options
- Communicate enrichment opportunities with scholars and families with support from the Director of Admissions and Community Outreach.
- Develop and oversee an annual and seasonal enrichment budget with support from the Director of Admissions and Community Outreach and the Director of Business and HR
- Collaborate with the Athletics Coordinators to plan for and manage the use of space, including Adventure Center and outdoor turf
- Ensure all enrichment activity leaders are vetted, have completed a CORI background check, and complete required trainings including but not limited to civil rights, bullying prevention and intervention, and life-threatening allergies.
- Provide supervision to programming, visiting activities, and supporting enrichment activity leaders
- Communicate with families, including responding to questions and concerns
- Work with the Dean of Students, school counselors, and families to navigate student support or disciplinary situations that take place after school
- Evaluate the enrichment program seasonally to improve program and options; as relevant, give feedback to activity leaders
- Conduct an annual program evaluation including review of student participation about access and equity (civil rights)
- Provides information, photos, and videos to the Director of Admissions and Community Outreach to update the school’s website and social media sites with relevant enrichment information
- Performs other related tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position

HOURS/COMPENSATION
- 1pm - 5pm M-F
- Start immediately
- Salary range = $30,000 to $33,000 per year depending on experience.
