Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an After School Enrichment Specialist to run after school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment activities, and college/career readiness. The role works 2–2.5 hours after school, collaborating with campus principals and the After School Coordinator.

Requirements include current college enrollment or certification, prior youth experience, and transcripts for GPA verification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or have up to 15 college hours, or hold a relevant professional certification.
• Experience with youth and classroom/school settings (formal or informal).
• Must attach transcripts to verify GPA and credits earned.

Responsibilities

• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Foster a positive, productive learning environment and school culture.
• Develop cooperative relationships with students and families built on trust and respect.
• Provide enrichment and recreational leadership for program students.
• Facilitate planned enrichment activities for groups of 12–18 students.
• Support cognitive and academic skill development and student self-esteem.
• Report data weekly and monthly for program evaluation.
• Coordinate with Site Coordinator and Project Director on schedule and evaluation.
