IDEA Public Schools seeks After School Enrichment Specialists to run after-school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. The role lasts 2–2.5 hours after school and is grant-funded, with job duties tied to the funded program.

The position emphasizes behavior management, student engagement, and coordination with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to align with school priorities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college with up to 15 hours or certified in the subject taught.
• Experience with youth and classroom/school settings.
• Transcript required to verify GPA/credits earned.

Responsabilités

• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Foster a positive learning environment and student engagement.
• Establish trust with students and families.
• Provide enrichment and recreation leadership for program students.
• Lead planned enrichment activities for groups of 12–18 students.
• Support cognitive development and academic skill growth.
• Promote student self-esteem and motivation through positive interactions.
• Work under the Site Coordinator and coordinate program design and evaluation.
• Organize enrichment schedules and implement evaluation tools.
• Adhere to IDEA campus rules and procedures.
