Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is seeking an English/Social Sciences Tutor for after-school programs supporting middle school students in building confidence in math and related subjects.

You will lead engaging activities, differentiate lessons, and coordinate with teachers to target material. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a positive learning environment for youth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years’ experience working with school-aged youth preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth; instruct and guide activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging learning activities and tailor lesson plans for grades 6–8.
• Help students with homework, test prep, and study strategies.
• Maintain safe, positive learning environment and monitor attendance.
