Job summary

Right At School is seeking energetic individuals to support after‑school and before‑school activities across partner schools in Encinitas and surrounding areas. You will help deliver engaging curriculum while ensuring safety, behavior guidance, and positive student interactions.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can lift 25 lbs. Two years of college or an AA degree is preferred, with a focus on fostering a love of learning and healthy living.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of higher education (48 units) or AA degree or higher.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Live Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate requirements.
• Experience working with children under 13 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children and support learning.
• Model positive guidance and maintain safety and well‑being with classroom management.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for progress and accountability.
