The YMCA Apex location seeks a Youth Counselor to lead and develop relationships with youth participants in the program, under the supervision of the Youth Site Director.

They will implement activities aligned with YMCA values, create a safe and engaging environment, and mentor children. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with base pay of $11.00 per hour.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience working with children or teens preferred but not required.
• Experience in outdoor education, planning activities, crafts, songs/music, skits, sports or recreational games preferred.
• Specific certifications and/or training may be required.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social/economic segments.
• Multi-lingual desired but not required.

• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations; maintains clear communication within area of responsibility.

Description

They are responsible for managing these functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA.

Job Schedule: Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m to 6 p.m.
