Job summary

LIFT Enrichment in Pittsburg, CA is seeking enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead hands-on cooking workshops for Title I students. No professional chef experience required—we provide training!

You’ll teach two workshops per day, with roughly 5 hours paid for prep and cleanup. Schedule: 2–3 days/week, 2:00–6:00 pm; seasonal, part-time. Mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and paid training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching groups of kids is preferred but not required.
• Must be energetic, engaging and able to manage a classroom.
• Willing to commute to assigned schools in Pittsburg, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 15-20 students through hands-on cooking activities.
• Teach healthy, simple recipes using provided curriculum.
• Ensure kitchen safety and proper clean-up after activities.
• Transport program supplies to the school as needed.

After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher

LIFT Enrichment is looking for enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools.

Since 2010, we’ve taught 75,000+ students and built a team of 200+ Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience required - we provide training!

The Details:

• Rate: $28/hour
• Schedule: 2 to 3 days per week; M-F, 2:00- 6:00 pm
• Age Groups: Elementary School
• Location: Pittsburg, CA
• Position: Seasonal, part-time
• Paid training + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend
• Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are paid

A typical day includes teaching two workshops, you will be paid for approximately 5 hours of work which covers preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

What You'll Do

• Lead groups of 15-20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
• Teach fun, healthy recipes using our provided curriculum.
• Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
• Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
• Manage setup, cooking, and cleanup.
• Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.
• Transport program supplies to the school.
