Job summary

LIFT Enrichment is seeking a Chef Teacher to lead healthy culinary workshops in Title I school districts across California. You’ll join a growing team of 200+ Chef Teachers dedicated to building practical cooking skills for students.

You’ll guide groups of 15–20, handle prep and cleanup, and visit sites with provided culinary kits. Availability is 2:00 PM–5:30 PM, two days per week, with mileage reimbursement and paid training included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids in informal settings or camps.
• Cooking experience at any level; no formal chef background required.
• Must have reliable transportation to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 15–20 students in hands-on cooking activities.
• Transport provided culinary kits and manage class setup.
• Teach simple, curriculum-based recipes and ensure safety and cleanup.

Requirements & Expectations

• Availability:2:00 PM – 5:30 PM, 2 days per week.
• Experience working with kids:i.e. summer camp counselor, retired teacher, etc.
• Experience cooking:i.e. basic meals (no formal or professional chef experience is required)
• Logistics:Must have reliable transportation.
• Operations:Lead groups of 15–20 students, transport provided culinary kits, and teach fun recipes from our curriculum like: i.e. Black Bean Quesadillas and Crispy Chicken Tenders.
