Job summary

LIFT Enrichment is seeking an After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher to lead hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (2-3 days per week, 2:30–5:30 pm) with paid training and mileage reimbursement.

You will guide 15–20 students through engaging activities, teach healthy recipes, and help with setup and cleanup. Prior teaching or childcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching or leading activities with children is preferred.
• No professional chef experience required; training provided.
• Ability to manage groups of 15–20 students and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher

LIFT Enrichment is looking for enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools.

Since 2010, we've taught 75,000+ students and built a team of 200+ Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience required - we provide training!

The Details:

• Rate: $25/hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (2-3 days per week) ; 2:30- 5:30 pm
• Age Groups: Elementary School
• Location: Hawthorne USD & Inglewood USD
• Position: Seasonal, part-time (10-15 hours per week)
• Paid training + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend
• Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are paid

A typical day includes teaching two workshops, you'll be paid for approximately 5 hours of work per day which covers preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

What We'll Provide

• Fun and detailed curriculum for you to follow - access to our cookbooks and fun recipes.
• Paid training 10-15 hours over the course of 2 weeks.
• Mileage reimbursement from your home to the school and back
