Broward County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Child Care Monitor II for Bayview Elementary in Fort Lauderdale. The role focuses on planning and conducting the Before and After School on-site program, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for participants.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and BASCC training with annual refreshers. Duties include supervising activities, ensuring safety, and coordinating with staff and parents.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of school-based aftercare experience or training.
Complete BASCC Components I and II training.
At least 10 hours of BASCC training annually.
CPR/First Aid certification required and maintained.
Computer skills required as needed for the position.
Must be 18 years or older.
My Florida SNP/UDAP/SAP modules completed (PSP not acceptable).
Annual BASCC training hours requirement reiterated.

Responsabilités

Adhere to Before and After School Care Quality Standards.
Supervise activities and areas to ensure safe, enriching experiences for children.
Set and maintain positive behavior standards using non-punitive methods.
Provide direct supervision of play areas and activities for safety and quality.
Assist in planning, evaluating, and scheduling activities for children.
Procure equipment and help cleanup supplies for planned activities.
Report student incidents to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Interact with parents and refer questions to the Child Care Supervisor.
Follow School Board safety rules and policies.
