Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Instructors to teach either Chess or STEM to elementary-aged students in fun, structured enrichment programs throughout Prince George's County.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students interested in education, engineering, computer science, mathematics, science, child development, or related fields. If you enjoy working with children and creating an engaging learning environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Chess or STEM is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working with elementary students (K–5).
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Prince George's County.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students either Chess or STEM activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and teamwork.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
