Job summary

Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Reading, MA. Lead fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students using our structured curriculum.

This is a flexible side-hustle with 1–5 classes per week, typically scheduled weekday afternoons. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between local school sites, and full training and ongoing support are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, friendly, and fun sessions.
• Professional, positive, and kid-friendly demeanor.
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use our structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and promote good sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
