Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is hiring enthusiastic instructors for our after-school enrichment program in Newark, DE. You will lead fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students using our structured curriculum and travel to multiple local school sites.

We offer flexible hours with 1–5 classes per week in weekday afternoons (2:00 PM–5:00 PM), a competitive per-class rate, mileage reimbursement for long travel, and full training with ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and create engaging, age-appropriate sessions.
• Strong chess fundamentals explained clearly to kids.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Teach fundamentals from our structured curriculum and encourage sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
• Arrive on time, prepared and ready to engage students.
