Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Colorado Springs. You will lead fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students using our structured curriculum, with sessions on weekday afternoons.

Flexible schedule: 1–5 classes per week, pay per class, mileage reimbursements for travel beyond 15 miles. Training provided and opportunities for advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and make sessions engaging.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and teaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use a structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols during arrival, dismissal, and in-class activities.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
