Job summary

Kitchen Brigades seeks a Consultant Chef Trainer to deliver weekly culinary workshops for students in Canada. You will teach basic cooking techniques and guide recipe preparation using provided materials, after-school hours, for a 24-week mandate.

Ideal candidates are autonomous, organized and able to work with teens aged 12–17. A DEP in cooking or nutrition training is an asset; a background in facilitation or education is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Be passionate about food and cooking.
• Be skilled in animation and teaching.
• Comfortable with teenagers (12–17 years old).
• Be empathetic, flexible, and able to adapt to vulnerable youth.
• Be autonomous, organized and responsible.
• DEP in cooking or nutrition training is an asset.
• Experience in facilitation or education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one culinary workshop of 2 - 2.5 hours per week.
• Teach participants basic cooking techniques and guide them through recipe preparation.
• Deliver each workshop using the educational materials provided and ensure preparation.
• Purchase ingredients for workshop recipes.
• Collaborate with participating establishment to coordinate culinary challenges (Kitchen Brigades).
• Provide administrative documentation (invoices, evaluation questionnaires).
