Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Nelson Elementary School in Nelson, NH for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is part-time (non-exempt) with hours 2:15–5:30 pm, following the school calendar, and pay of $14.00–$18.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a HS diploma, and show enthusiasm for guiding children through activities, learning, and positive growth with supportive families and teammates.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with kids preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
