Children's Choice After Care Inc in Batavia, IL is seeking a passionate After School Care Assistant for a part-time role after school hours. You will supervise and engage children, assist with homework, plan activities, maintain a safe space, and communicate with parents and staff.

The ideal candidate has experience with school-age children, a patient demeanor, and a high school diploma; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. This is a rewarding position in a supportive program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-age children in childcare or education settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and staff.
• Willingness to pass a background check as required by Illinois childcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities during after school hours
• Assist with homework help and academic support for enrolled students
• Plan and facilitate recreational, creative, and educational activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom or activity space
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program staff
• Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the program
