Job summary

New Buffalo Area Schools is seeking an after-school care assistant to provide engaging supervision for school-age children during BASE hours, Monday through Friday (3:00 pm–6:00 pm on regular days and 11:30 am–6:00 pm on half days).

You’ll supervise indoor/outdoor activities, participate in games and homework time, serve snacks, greet families, and uphold student safety. Benefits include PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and access to the recreation center and gym facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise indoor and outdoor play.
• Be an active participant in large motor games, board games, computer time, and homework time.
• Serve prepared snack.
• Greet parents and students with a smile.
• Effectively communicate with supervisor, students, parents and peers.
