Job summary

New Buffalo Area Schools is seeking an after-school care assistant to provide engaging supervision for school-age children during BASE hours, Monday through Friday (3:00 pm–6:00 pm on regular days and 11:30 am–6:00 pm on half days).

You’ll supervise indoor/outdoor activities, participate in games and homework time, serve snacks, greet families, and uphold student safety. Benefits include PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and access to the recreation center and gym facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Work Hours:

Monday – Friday during 186 school days

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Other Skills and Abilities:

• 1. Must be able to supervise outdoor time everyday. Please dress accordingly. Will be required to sit, stand, and walk daily.
• 2. Prepare to be active.
• 3. Will be responsible for the safety of the students.
• 4. Must be punctual and have good attendance.
