Job summary

Horizon Education Centers in Cleveland, OH is hiring an afternoon School Age Driver to transport children to and from our Triskett Station childcare center and on field trips.

This role supports safe daily transportation, supervision of children, and teamwork with teachers and staff. CDL not required; you must be 21+, have a clean driving record, and pass background checks and trainings. Opportunities for additional hours in summer camp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid license and a clean driving record (no more than 4 points).
• Experience or interest in child development preferred.
• Willingness to update training and knowledge of licensing rules and industry trends.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Drive 14-passenger school minibus and/or 6-passenger minivans. (No CDL required)
• Care for and supervise children at all times in accordance with licensing standards
• Work as part of a team with teachers, leads, center staff and the director
• Assist in documentation for attendance and transportation services
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff through prompt, cheerful service
• Seasonal field trips and supervision of children during events
• Bus inspections, mileage logs, and bus cleaning
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of personnel and family information
• All other duties as needed/assigned
