EmBe seeks an Assistant Teacher in Madison, SD to help create a safe, nurturing learning environment after school hours. You will work closely with the Lead Teacher to support routines, implement curriculum, and document child progress while modeling professionalism and kindness.

You will engage children in activities, help supervise play and meals, and contribute to a well-organized classroom. This part-time role operates 4–6pm with no nights or weekends, aligning with school schedules.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of child growth and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to change in fast-paced environments.
• Capable of working collaboratively with others.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training hours.

Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom routines and implement curriculum with guidance from Lead Teacher.
• Assist with observing and documenting children’s development using milestones.
• Maintain safety, dignity, and well-being of every child in the learning space.
• Engage children in meaningful learning activities and facilitate play, crafts, reading, and meals.
