Job summary

Glassboro Child Development Centers seeks an Assistant Group Leader to support the after-school program. You will help plan engaging activities and support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development in a safe, welcoming environment.

Shifts are Monday–Friday with AM or PM hours (6:45AM–8:45AM and 2:15PM–6:00PM). CPR/First Aid required; 1 year of experience preferred. Strong teamwork with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Availability Monday through Friday for all program days.
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome children and families and help create a positive program environment.
• Assist with communicating information and concerns to families as assigned.
• Support daily activities including homework help, group activities, indoor/outdoor play, and enrichment opportunities.
• Provide active supervision to ensure children's health and safety.
• Assist with classroom activities, materials preparation, and meal/snack routines.
• Observe children and document participation and development.
• Support bathroom and personal care routines as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space.
