Job summary

Glassboro Child Development Centers seeks an experienced School Age Group Leader for our after-school program. You will create a safe, welcoming environment where school-age children can learn, grow, and thrive, while building strong relationships with families.

The role involves planning age-appropriate activities, supervising activities, and collaborating with site staff and families to support development and wellbeing. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with PM and optional AM shifts.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's interests and development.
• Provide active supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Promote health and safety practices throughout the program.
• Observe children and document developmental progress and program participation.
• Communicate with families regarding children's needs, progress, and concerns.
• Support and mentor Assistant Teachers, Leaders, and volunteers as assigned.
• Assist children with bathroom and personal care routines as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
