Job summary

Nexplore is seeking an instructor to lead a hands-on after-school class in Phoenix. The role uses provided curriculum, lesson plans and materials; you bring the energy and joy to engage students in pottery and drawing.

Teach a regular weekly class on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 PM–2:30 PM and 3:00 PM–4:00 PM, with compensation of $60 per hour per class. AA degree or higher preferred; reliable transport required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• AA degree or higher.
• 2+ years teaching, instructing or coaching (preferred).
• Educational, training or youth-development experience.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, and able to commit to every scheduled date.

Responsibilities

• Lead the class with energy and keep every student engaged.
• Arrive early to set up, and hand students off safely at dismissal.
• Manage the room so it stays safe and fun.
• Stay in touch with your Program Success Manager.
