Job summary

Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) is seeking an Academic Liaison for the After School Program. The role collaborates with the School-Based Leadership Team to align academic components with the school day and to support interventions and behavioral health initiatives.

The position involves leading PD for after-school staff, developing tutoring resources, and creating a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree + CA Teacher’s Credential and 2 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and implement programs.
Experience in classroom management, conflict mediation, and restorative practices is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Experience building effective partnerships with schools and community-based organizations.
Ability to work with ethnically diverse groups of low-income youth and English language learners.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the School-Based Leadership Team to plan programs and create systems for communication between site administrator(s) and the ASP Leadership Team.
Serve as liaison between school day and after-school staff, representing after-school initiatives to school day teachers and vice versa.
Provide 1:1 or small group social/emotional and behavioral health support as needed.
Lead and participate in the creation of QAP-aligned Academic Support goals and reports.
Lead professional development and coaching for after-school staff around academic content and instructional strategies.
