Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in the United States is seeking a field service technician to proactively perform preventive maintenance on linear accelerators and related medical equipment outside normal hours. You will manage a daily/weekly service schedule and coordinate with customers to ensure uptime.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and adherence to vendor credentialing and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and professional communication.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Frequent use of technical documentation, standards, concepts and procedures in field service.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Familiar with handheld test equipment like DVM/DMM and oscilloscope.
• Basic knowledge of PC-based systems and simple hand tools.
• Maintain vendor credentialing status and compliance with client requirements.
• Credentials and training may include ID, background checks, immunizations, TB testing and other required training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on linear accelerators and related equipment outside normal business hours.
• Submit field service work orders and expense reports promptly.
• Manage consignment and parts documentation per VMS procedures.
• Escalate issues to leadership when necessary and communicate follow-up actions.
