Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Technician for Corpus Christi, TX to perform preventive maintenance on Varian Medical Systems equipment, including linear accelerators. The role requires strong time management, customer communication, and credentialing compliance to access client sites.

The position is field-based with local travel and onsite work at customer locations. Candidates should have HS degree or equivalent and electronics training, with the ability to read technical docs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational electronics preferred.
• Excellent time management and professional communication skills.
• Ability to read technical documents and follow procedures.
• Basic knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with handheld test equipment (DVM and oscilloscope) and PC-based systems.
• Maintain vendor credentialing and comply with access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Linear Accelerators and medical equipment per procedures.
• Manage daily/weekly schedule and travel within service region.
• Escalate incidents when needed and request assistance from senior staff.
• Complete field service work orders and expense reports promptly.
• Maintain documentation for parts, consignment, and compliance.
