Job summary

Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) seeks an experienced AFSO/IT Manager in Charleston, SC to oversee industrial security and IT operations. You will ensure NISPOM compliance, manage clearances, and support DCSA inspections while directing enterprise IT, identity controls, and risk management.

The role requires hands-on IT administration, security certifications, and a background in government contracting, with a strong emphasis on NIST 800-171/CMMC and ISO 27001 compliance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience supporting NISPOM compliance in a cleared facility.
• Hands-on IT systems administration experience.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Preferred: experience with DCSA audits/inspections.
• Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, etc.).
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 / Entra ID environments.
• Background in government contracting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure including endpoints and networks.
• Manage identity and access controls (Entra ID / Active Directory).
• Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-171 controls; support CMMC/ISO 27001.
• Administer endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support incident response, risk management, and security documentation.
• Maintain secure system configuration, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
• Track IT assets and support lifecycle management.
• Coordinate security and IT activities with the FSO and leadership.
