Job summary

Muon Space in Mountain View, CA is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist / Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to manage day-to-day security for DoD/IC programs, maintain the facility clearance, and ensure NISPOM compliance. This hands-on role interfaces with DCSA and government customers to enable secure program execution.

The position is fully onsite five days a week and requires an active TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent DoD/IC security experience.
• Experience with DoD/IC programs and NISPOM, ICDs, OPSEC principles.
• Hands-on experience with DISS/NISS and security recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of PHYSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC, Insider Threat, and Program Security.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day AFSO duties for DoD Facility Clearance and interfacing with USG.
• Administer personnel security actions, visits, and security records.
• Support Program Protection and secure payload processing requirements.
• Contribute to Insider Threat monitoring and investigations.
• Deliver security education and training programs including indoctrinations and refreshers.
• Draft and enforce SPPs, EAPs, and security guidance for classified information.
• Review and track DD-254s for contracts and subcontracts.
• Support self-inspection, DCSA reviews, and assessments.
• Operate facility badging, access controls, alarms, and visitor management.
• Coordinate COMSEC accountability with the COMSEC custodian.
