Job summary

EXPANSIA Group, in Fort Rucker, AL, seeks a Software Engineer/Architect specializing in Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) to support Army AMBL initiatives and transition to an IDE with AF SIM tooling.

The role requires strong C++/C# development, MOSA-aware design, and collaboration with government engineers to deliver scalable simulation capabilities, mission analyses, and operational experimentation in a secure, fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing, integrating, or extending AFSIM or comparable military simulation frameworks.
  • Understanding of MOSA software architecture, systems engineering principles, and simulation lifecycle.
  • Experience with C++/C# in MOSA compliant applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support Army Aviation modernization through development and integration of MS&A capabilities using AFSIM in an IDE.
  • Assist Government engineers in transitioning legacy models and workflows into AFSIM-based architectures.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software and hardware components supporting mission simulations and analyses.
  • Apply AI/ML and MOSA-compliant modules to extend simulation capabilities and ensure IDE scalability.
  • Collaborate with government engineers to model Army platforms, sensors, weapons, and environments.
  • Support mission engineering analyses and concept experimentation within the MS&A environment.
