Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a motivated AFSIM Scenario Developer to support mission engineering modeling and analysis in Quantico, VA. This on-site role involves building simulations of weapon systems and wargaming scenarios, interacting with engineers and subject matter experts.

You will lead design, development, and testing across simulation platforms, collaborate on interoperability efforts, and help ensure model fidelity while documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience focused on simulation or game-based environments
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java
• Experience with simulation platforms or gaming engines such as AFSIM, NGTS, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain simulation models and environments using a variety of programming languages, tools, and data sources
• Integrate simulations into larger system architectures and supports NCIP interoperability testing
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to enhance model fidelity and ensure simulation accuracy
• Implement new features, conduct model testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platforms
• Lead and support planning, coordination, and documentation activities for simulation projects, including data collection, stakeholder alignment, and capability tracking
