Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking an experienced AF SIM Developer to provide Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis support to DoD programs. The role involves designing, developing, and sustaining AFSIM-based capabilities while adhering to secure software lifecycle practices validated by CSSLP certification.

The position emphasizes C++ development, AFSIM plug-ins, and scripting to configure scenarios, with collaboration across government engineers, analysts, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience with C++ and OO design on Windows or Linux.
• 0–2 years of experience developing or applying AFSIM for DoD/IC programs (scenarios, plugins, analysis).
• Experience applying secure coding practices and software assurance across the lifecycle.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity and RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AFSIM models, components, and scenarios for government customers.
• Implement secure software lifecycle practices aligned with CSSLP domains and DoD policies.
• Develop and maintain C++-based AFSIM plug-ins and simulation entities.
• Apply scripting (Python/Lua) to configure scenarios and automate runs.
• Conduct code reviews, static analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
