Job summary

IQ Sig is seeking an AFSIM Modeling & Simulation Specialist to support the Office of the Secretariat for SOF analysis at the Center for Special Operations Analysis.

You will construct models, script dynamic entities, and craft operational scenarios that reflect realistic actions and interactions in AFSIM. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a Top Secret/SCI-eligible clearance, plus a technical degree and hands-on experience.

AFSIM Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Specialist

About the role

• The Data Analyst will support the Office of the Secretariat for Special Operations providing operational and force structure analysis to support the office’s special operations forces (SOF) organize, train and equip oversight responsibilities. You will work within the Center for Special Operations Analysis.

What you'll do

As an Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Modeling & Simulation Specialist, you could expect to:

• Construct military models and entities of varying complexity in AFSIM.
• Provide dynamic scripting techniques to produce modeled entity actions/interactions in AFSIM.
• Create and enhance operationally relevant scenarios that accurately represent actions, reactions, and interactions between entities in the AFSIM simulation.
• Coordinate with team members to contribute to execution of analysis of studies, analyze AFSIM results, and prepare and present study findings.
• Collaborate with agile AFSIM software development teams to build and enhance Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) solutions.

Qualifications

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline and at least three years of related analysis experience.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience with modeling and simulation tools for engagement and/or mission level studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Scripting and/or programming experience.
• Ability to work well in team environments.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
• Advanced degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• Experience using AFSIM to model systems, scenarios, and behavior scripting.
• Experience with any of the following: Python, C++, or R.
