Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The role combines strong technical expertise with collaboration among government personnel, contractors, and a team of engineers and scientists to solve complex challenges involving highly advanced systems.

Responsibilities include developing and integrating models for satellites, radars, aircraft, missiles, and C2 within a large-scale AFSIM environment,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE, or related field with 8+ years of experience; OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
Equivalent experience, training, or certifications may be accepted in place of a degree.
Proficiency in C++ and Modeling & Simulation techniques.
Experience with CMake and Visual Studio for building and compiling AFSIM extensions and plug-ins.
Experience with AFSIM including extensions and plug-ins.
Strong English-language writing and briefing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a highly technical, collaborative environment.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a mixed government-contractor setting.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate system models (satellites, radars, aircraft, missiles, command & control) into a large-scale AFSIM environment.
Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of government and contractor staff.
Create AFSIM representations of space and ground systems for AF/DoD use.
Apply engineering judgment to address intelligence gaps and model real-world systems.
Utilize CI/CD tools to test and evaluate AFSIM models prior to delivery.
Prepare documentation, analytic reports, and multimedia products to support mission objectives.
