Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Rosslyn, Virginia, seeks an AFSIM Modeling & Simulation Analyst to translate operational concepts into executable simulations and to inform capability development and CONOPS evaluation.

Responsibilities include developing mission-level scenarios, refining sensor and platform models, scripting behaviors, validating scenarios, and presenting analytical results to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, operations research, applied math, or a related field.
• Analytical skills and comfort working with quantitative data.
• Familiarity with simulation frameworks and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and execute mission-level scenarios in AFSIM aligned with analytical objectives.
• Build and refine sensor, weapon, and platform models, including detection logic and engagement behaviors.
• Script scenario behaviors using Lua or Python to represent tactics and mission flows.
• Conduct scenario validation, ensuring correctness of timelines and interactions.
• Perform quantitative analysis of simulation outputs including MOEs/MOPs and timelines.
