Job summary

VTG in Ohio seeks an experienced AFSIM Developer to deliver Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis support for DoD programs. You will design, develop, integrate, and sustain AFSIM-based capabilities while following secure software lifecycle practices validated by a CSSLP certification.

The role emphasizes C++ development, AFSIM plug-ins and scripting with Python/Lua, code reviews, CI/CD, and collaboration with government engineers at Beavercreek/Dayton with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• 3–5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years developing or applying AFSIM for DoD/IC programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AFSIM models, components, and scenarios for government analysis.
• Implement secure software lifecycle practices per CSSLP domains and DoD policies.
• Develop and maintain C++-based AFSIM plug-ins and simulation entities.
• Apply Python/Lua scripting to configure scenarios and batch runs.
• Conduct code reviews, static analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
