About the Role

Our client, a leading language education provider in Welkom , Free State, is seeking a dedicated and proficient Afrikaans Language Specialist. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering high-quality language programs for diverse learners, focusing on fluency, comprehension, and cultural understanding. The specialist will be responsible for curriculum design, instructional delivery, and student assessment, catering to both beginner and advanced learners. This position offers a flexible hybrid model, combining on-site instruction in Welkom with remote teaching capabilities, allowing for a broad reach and adaptable service delivery. We are looking for an individual with a profound knowledge of the Afrikaans language, its nuances, and its pedagogical approaches. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive Afrikaans language courses for various proficiency levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Afrikaans and Dutch Studies, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Afrikaans as a second language or home language.
• Native or near-native fluency in Afrikaans, with a strong grasp of grammar, phonetics, and semantics.
• Proven ability to develop engaging language learning materials.
• Experience with both face-to-face and online teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
