Job summary

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an AFIS Operator in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Section, located in London, OH. The role involves operating AFIS/CAFIS systems, handling fingerprint data, and supporting law enforcement with background checks and processing.

You will work with experienced agents and scientists in a fast-paced environment. Formal training in AFIS/CCH procedures and a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm are required.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience or 12 months training in use of AFIS or CCH equipment or equivalent.
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Process civilian or criminal information using AFIS.
• Enter information into AFIS using input devices.
• Open mail and prepare fingerprint cards for scanning.
• Retrieve data from CCH and III.
• Train other AFIS operators.
• Answer inquiries from applicants and the public.
