Job summary

The Summer Analyst internship with Related Midwest in Chicago supports the affordable real estate team in all aspects of acquisitions and development, including financial analyses, site due diligence, and community engagement.

You will build detailed financial models, assist with tax credit applications, track rehab progress, and help with asset management across the portfolio. This hands-on program emphasizes mentorship, training, and real-world project exposure.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate junior with a target graduation date between December 2027–June 2028.
• Strong passion for real estate development and learning.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial underwriting analysis and due diligence for new affordable acquisition opportunities.
• Assist with tax credit applications for the City of Chicago and IHDA.
• Track rehab progress on ongoing projects.
• Conduct site visits and assist with asset management of existing portfolio.
• Evaluate operations to identify improvement opportunities.
