Job summary

Mission First Housing Group seeks a Real Estate Development Manager in Washington, DC to lead planning, financing, and execution of affordable housing developments across the portfolio. You will report to the Senior VP of Real Estate Development and support all phases from conception to operations.

This role requires strong financial analysis, project management, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Planning, Real Estate, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of real estate development experience.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills with advanced Excel.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects, budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate predevelopment activities from feasibility to design and permitting with Senior Development Managers.
• Perform financial and feasibility analyses; advise on financing structures and feasibility.
• Coordinate project team: architect, engineer, attorney, consultants, GC, etc.
• Respond to funding RFPs and prepare applications for pre-development, construction, and permanent financing.
• Manage financing from application to closing, including due diligence and document coordination.
• Support construction phase and prepare closeout reports for property and asset management.
• Assist asset and property management through lease-up and stabilization, including reporting.
