Job summary

Premier Property Management is seeking a full‑time Leasing Specialist in Detroit to greet, tour, and lease apartments while driving occupancy and tenant satisfaction. You will handle applications, market the community, and coordinate with maintenance and contractors to ensure units are ready for turnover.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team environment.
• Problem solver with a high sense of urgency.
• LIHTC, Section 8, Public Housing and/or RAD experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• 2 years verifiable experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and handle Walk In traffic.
• Show Apartments.
• Lease, market and manage public relations of the community.
• Complete Guest Cards and applications.
• Process applications and reporting to oversight agencies (MSHDA, HUD).
• Support resident retention and issue resolution.
• Schedule contractors and maintenance for proper turns.
• Walk vacant units to ensure market readiness.
• Manage lease signings.

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Leasing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organized and have great attention to detail.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting and handling 'Walk In' traffic
• Showing Apartments
• Leasing, marketing and public relations of the community
• Guest Card Completion
• Application processing
• Completion of required reporting to MSHDA, HUD and other government oversight departments
• Resident Retention
• Scheduling of contractors and maintenance to ensure proper apartment turns
• Walking vacant units to ensure that they are market ready
• Lease signings
